I Never Knew

Well,  I never knew the things I would he able to do when I grew up.  I suppose I always knew I loved to craft and create things,  but I never invisioned the love I have for crochet.  I just love the fact that I can create these beautiful pieces.  I didn't start on this journey very long ago and I honestly am so surprised with how far I have come.  I still have so much to learn but I look forward to every new project that shows up at my door.  It's so funny every time I start something new I can't wait to finish it and when i'm done I can't wait to start the next one.  This Anna hat turned out so amazing,  I knew it would turn out but had no ides that it would look this good.  Live your life to the fullest everyone and I truly hope you all have found or do find your passion.  I have to say when you find it just jump right in,  you won't regret doing what you love.

A little Love

So I made this hat for an order I had.  Wow,  it was honestly the hardest item I've made to part with.  It is just beautiful and Super soft.  I will most definitely be making one for myself for this coming winter.
I was given a picture of this hat or actually one that was similar,  however it was knitted and as of now I only do crochet.  I haven't yet wondered into the knitting world.  I really was not sure I would be able to pull this one off.   All I could do was go with what I have learned and try to do my best.  Well apparently,  I'm pretty good at this.  When I started on this journey I never imagined creating these pieces without a pattern.  I have come so far in such a short amount of time.  The best advise I can give to you all is to do something you absolutely love,  your passion for your work will truly take you somewhere you may never have imagined you would go.  Love what you do and do what you love......

So fun

It's always fun to learn something new.  I love a challange and especially I love it when it turns out perfectly.  I had an order recently for these two newsboy hats and it was so fun just trying to find the right pattern to follow.  I'm still new to crochet so I sometimes go with what I already know but I often find myself searching for something new to try.  In this case I wanted something new.  Ohh I just fell in love with this stitch.  This hat is so soft and the pattern is just beautiful.  I got this pattern from Annascrochet.Blogspot.com  she had some lovely patterns and she is so easy to follow.  Now to start another creation.  Goodnight everyone

I Got This

Who doesn't love babies. I just adore them. I often joke with my hubby that I could have 10. But clearly they don't stay babies forever and Oh I'm so tired with the 3 I already have. But, that sweet baby smell, those baby snuggles and that soft little baby breath on your chest when they are snuggled right up and sound asleep with not a worry in the world. How I wish I could keep it that way for them forever. This was a first try for me doing little baby booties, without a pattern and I think they turned out so adorable. My baby sister is expecting her baby any day now and I really wanted her to have something I made for my little nephew, maybe something she could save for him when he's older. Those first little booties that show you how small and dependent on the people around you, you were. That forever memory that your parents give everything up for you. I can't wait to meet you little man, enjoy your little booties.

Inspiration

So what gets your creative juices flowing?  What gives you inspiration for that next amazing product or item you are going to create?  Well truth be told I never know what's next on my agenda to create unless someone orders something.  My head is constantly swirling with what I want to work on next or what I would like to try next,  but to be honest sometimes I just don't make it to that one thing I want to try.  Although,  in between orders I will usually try something new as really I am still very new to the crochet world and would like very much to expand my knowledge of stitches and patterns.  This Frozen Elsa hat is my newest creation.  I love Pintrest for ideas of what I should work on next and well every little girl loves the movie Frozen that came out not to long ago.  I pinned a hat to my wall that had long yellow hair in two braids and a purple crown.  Well the little girl in my day homes mom saw it and asked if I could make something similar to it but with frozen colors.  Well yahh something new for me to try so heck yes I was excited.  I started with a white beanie,  then the blue crown.  It was almost done with just the hair left to go.  The longest part of the process was the hair.  Measuring each piece and adding it one piece at a time.  And believe it or not braiding the hair on this hat was challenging.  It was done finally.  But wait for me I found it just a little plain,  so I decided to add some beautiful snowflakes just to add a little more.  See I have a deep desire to make things perfectly and my own.  So although the idea of this hat was there,  it is now what I pictured in my head.  I love crochet,  I love that each piece I make even if I use a basic pattern,  it becomes my very own creation,  the colors I choose,  the buttons I choose,  a flower,  a snow flake or a heart.  So let your creative juices flow.  Follow your desires and you to will create something amazing.

A little ambitious

Crazy how I decided that my second ever crochet hat would be so ambitious.  But, hey that's how I roll.  When I jump into something I go all out.  When I look back at my early projects its so funny how I notice all the little imperfections and this is really when I notice how much I have grown.  I do intend to continue on this journey and I know I still have so very much to learn.
Now I did this awhile ago but I do believe I used a YouTube video posted by Yolanda Soto Lopez.  I find her videos so easy to follow and have used her videos numerous times.  You can also find all her work at yolandasotolopez.Blogspot.com

My first beanie

Well here it is,  the first crochet beanie I ever made.  What can I say this little guy started my life on a whole new journey of it's own.  I truly had no idea what I was doing and had one crochet hook a size 4.5, and these two baby soft colors of yarn.  Well I can say a big thank you to my oldest son who told me to use a YouTube video to learn.  Ha what is YouTube.  Never did I imagine using YouTube to crochet.  Well there are some amazing people out there who have created some amazing easy to follow videos. The first video I used was from www.crochethooksyou.com crochet baby Beanie with ears.  Well once you've got the beanie down and the sizing you can do almost anything.  This is were my journey began.  If you want to learn to crochet I recommend starting here with the video I used.  I how you fall in love with this craft as much as I have.

A New Chapter

Hi everyone,  this is the first post I have made and wow,  It really has just taken me a few days to try and figure everything out.  I will be sharing with you my journey of crochet creations.  I have recently found a deep passion for crochet and over the past few months I have created numerous items.  When I first started on my journey I shared the first little new born baby beany I had ever crochet on my facebook account.  Well, one of my great friends had her second little boy shortly after and I gifted it to her.  She loved it.  I received so many comments on just this one piece,  it encouraged me to continue creating.  I soon after created my facebook page and it is slowly growing as I continue on my journey.  Well, now I decided to create this blog,  so I can share with you all my love and passion for this art of crochet.  I am hoping in the next few days to post some pictures of my work.  I will also share any patterns and or links where I get my patterns from.  For now good night world and we will see you all soon.
